Write to a person
A person reads every message. We answer within two business days (Monday to Friday), in English, French or Spanish — whichever you write in. There is no phone queue and no chatbot in the middle.
For privacy requests specifically — access, correction, deletion, or a question about the Privacy Policy — write to [email protected].
To get a useful answer on the first reply, tell us: which device you use (for example iPhone 13, or Samsung Galaxy S23), which operating system version, the app version (it is at the bottom of the app’s Settings screen), the language you use the app in, and what you did just before the problem appeared.
Please do not send us health details, questionnaire answers or the contents of your notes. We do not need them to help you, and we would rather not receive them — the whole app is built so that this information never leaves your device.
ADHD-Focus is a wellness and organization tool, not an emergency or crisis service, and nobody here can see what you write in the app. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, contact emergency services (911 in Canada, the United States and Mexico) or a crisis line: 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline in Canada and 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the United States; 800 911 2000 (Línea de la Vida) in Mexico. If you are somewhere else, contact your local emergency number.
Frequently asked questions
I already paid, but the app is asking me to subscribe again
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. Your subscription is tied to the store account that bought it — your Apple Account or your Google Play account — not to a login with us, because ADHD-Focus has no user accounts. Make sure the device is signed in to the same store account you used to buy, then restore. This is also how you get your subscription back after reinstalling the app or moving to a new phone.
Still blocked after restoring? Write to us with the store you bought from and the approximate purchase date — not your card details, which we never need.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancellation happens in the store that bills you, not inside the app. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
| Store | Steps |
|---|---|
| Apple (iPhone / iPad) | Settings › tap your name at the top › Subscriptions › ADHD-Focus › Cancel Subscription |
| Google Play (Android) | Google Play app › profile icon › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › ADHD-Focus › Cancel subscription |
Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. You have to cancel it in the store, otherwise it keeps renewing.
How do I make sure I am not charged when the free trial ends?
Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, using the same steps as above. Cancelling during the trial does not cut you off immediately — you keep the app until the trial’s last day, and nothing is charged. If you do nothing, the trial turns into a paid subscription automatically.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google, because they are the sellers — we never touch your payment and cannot issue a refund ourselves. On iOS, request it at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, use your Google Play order history or Google Play’s help centre. If something in the app is broken and that is why you are asking, tell us too — we would rather fix it.
Where is my data stored? Can you see it?
On your device, and no. ADHD-Focus has no backend server and no user account: your tasks, routines, focus sessions, check-ins, notes and questionnaire answers are written to storage on your phone and are never uploaded to us. We cannot read them, we do not sell or share them, and we do not use them to train anything. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what does and does not leave the device.
How do I export my data?
In the app: Settings › Your data › Export. The app produces a file with everything you have recorded, which you can save or send wherever you want using your device’s normal share sheet. Exporting is free, with or without a subscription. Because we have no copy of your data, an export is the only backup that exists — if you care about your history, export from time to time.
How do I delete everything?
In the app: Settings › Your data › Delete all data. It is immediate and permanent, and it cannot be undone — export first if you want a copy. Uninstalling the app also removes its local data. There is no account to close, because there is no account. Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription; cancel that in your store.
I lost my phone / reset it. Can you recover my history?
We cannot, and we want to be straight about it: we have no copy to restore from. That is the trade-off of an app with no cloud — nobody can read your data, including us, so nobody can bring it back either. What does transfer to a new device is your subscription (via Restore purchases) and any export file you saved yourself.
My reminders are not appearing
Reminders are scheduled locally by your device, so the fix is almost always in the system settings:
- Check that notifications are allowed for ADHD-Focus (iOS: Settings › Notifications › ADHD-Focus. Android: Settings › Apps › ADHD-Focus › Notifications).
- Check Focus / Do Not Disturb modes and any scheduled quiet hours.
- On Android, check battery optimization for the app — aggressive power saving delays or cancels scheduled alarms. Allow the app to run in the background or mark it as unrestricted.
- Make sure your device’s date, time and time zone are automatic. Reminders are scheduled against local time.
- Open the app once after installing an update, so pending reminders are rescheduled.
Still nothing? Write to us with your device model and OS version. And please note the warning from the Terms of Use: the operating system controls delivery, so do not rely on the app alone for anything safety-critical, including medication timing.
Which languages does the app support, and how do I change it?
English, French and Spanish — the whole interface and the entire strategy library, not just the menus. The app follows your device language by default, and you can change it at any time in Settings › Language. Changing the language does not affect anything you have already recorded.
Does the app work without internet?
Yes. Everything — tasks, routines, timer, check-ins, articles, questionnaire — works fully offline, on a plane or with no signal. A connection is only needed when you start, restore or renew a subscription, because that goes through Apple or Google.
Do I need to create an account?
No, and you cannot — there is no sign-up, no email, no password. That is deliberate: an account would mean a server, and a server would mean your mental health information sitting somewhere other than your own phone.
Can ADHD-Focus tell me whether I have ADHD?
No. ADHD-Focus is a wellness and organization tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat ADHD or any other condition, and it does not replace a qualified health professional. The optional questionnaire in the app is a self-reflection tool, never a diagnosis — it can be a useful thing to bring to a professional, and only a professional can diagnose. The app also does not give advice about medication.
Can I use the same subscription on my phone and my tablet?
Yes, as long as both devices are signed in to the same store account that bought the subscription. Install the app, open Settings and tap Restore purchases. Note that your data does not sync between devices — each device keeps its own local data, because there is no cloud to sync through.
Something else
Found a bug, want a feature, spotted a wording mistake in one of the three languages, or hit an accessibility problem? Write to [email protected]. Accessibility reports and translation corrections get read closely — the app is for people whose attention is expensive, and friction is a real bug.
